- Chapter 1
Page 3: "Our environment consists of all the living and nonliving things around us."
This is more like a definition of ecosystem; ecosystem is not defined until chapter 3.
- Chapter 2
Page 32: "The next equation for cellular respiration is the exact opposite of that for photosynthesis".
This is incorrect: photosynthesis releases H2O; there is no input of H2O in cellular respiration.
- Chapter 4
Figure 4.17:
The text claims this is Fermilab, but the caption says it's Midewin.
- Chapter 5
Figure 5.5:
The downward arrows should be removed; energy flows in one direction, never cycles.
