1. Work in groups of 4.

2. Count out 50 each of the beans (garbanzo, lentil, pinto are variations of Beanus beanus); K=150.

3. Students with knife, fork, or spoon are predators Flatwarus flatwarus.

4. 4th student timekeeper. All 3 of team should use same tool.

5. At signal, predator uses tool to pick prey into cup. DO NOT set cup on side.

6. 45 seconds.

7. Count survival prey of each variant; reproduce by * 2. Record on Table 1.

8. Next generation should start with ~150 total.

9. 5 more generations.

10. 2nd experiment with a different tool.

11. Graph survivors through 6 trials for each simulation.
